Water Therapy and/or Aquatic Therapy
Water Therapy and/or Aquatic therapy is a safe accompaniment or alternative to traditional land-based therapy that is appropriate for children and adults of all ages and fitness levels. The calming properties of water appeal to those in search of treatment that can protect joints, heal the body, offer relaxation, reduce stress levels, and increase overall health and fitness.
Aquatic Therapy is a therapeutic methodology that helps improve function through aquatic therapeutic exercise. Throughout the country, licensed and/or certified health care providers serve in the role of Aquatic Therapists under the umbrella of Aquatic Therapy within their scope of practice as defined by the American Medical Association. Aquatic Therapy is often referred to as Pool Therapy, Water Therapy, and/or Aquatic Rehabilitation.
